This famous non-planet is re-examined by Glass Eye Studio artists to honor the 2015 fly by of NASA’s New Horizons Spacecraft. Discovered in 1930, Pluto was the ninth planet in the solar system until 2006 when the International Astronomical Union redefined it as a “dwarf planet”.  Some astronomers still hold that Pluto and its five moons should be official planets.
